Friendswood ISD Board Member Matt Robinson Announces Campaign for SBOE District 7
Robinson launches with the support of his entire board and outgoing incumbent David Bradley
(Friendswood, TX) Following the announcement from David Bradley that he wouldn’t seek an 8th term on the State Board of Education, Friendswood ISD Board Member Matt Robinson announced he is seeking the Republican nomination.
In a show of unity, Robinson announced the unanimous support of his board colleagues as well as incumbent David Bradley:
Dr. Rebecca Hillenburg, President
“Over the last several years as a board member I have appreciated the many challenges in educating young Texans in our schools, and I want to bring my experience and leadership to the state board. I believe in strong schools, high-quality teachers, modern instructional methods, and a continuous focus on family involvement. I’ve had the opportunity to study schools across Texas as part of TASB’s leadership program and also greatly respect David Bradley’s service. As a board member I will represent the strong conservative values of the District and work with my colleagues to continue his legacy of leadership. As a local board member I also want more input from local school boards on the best ways to set state standards,” stated Robinson.
Bradley announced his endorsement stating, “Matt will be a tireless advocate for parents, students and educators on the board. His background and convictions make him qualified to fill this seat and I know he will do great things. I didn’t want to leave until I knew that the board and my seat would be in good hands. I’m encouraging all of my supporters across the District to support Matt.”
